2017 MEMORIAL DAY BOOK FAIRE
Update: Our Memorial Day Book Faire was a wonderful success, thanks to the entire Exeter Community!
We had a steady stream of patrons the entire day to partake not only of our hundreds and hundreds of books, but also to visit with our Stitchen' Chicks, get prettied up by our face painter, receive an animal from our balloon artist, and enjoy all the baked goods and popcorn we had to share!
Our hope is that folks are getting used to our donation sale every year on the Memorial Day weekend and will join us every time!

We will have a donation sale where patrons can pick out books by the armful or bagful or just a few at a time and then donate the monetary amount they feel the books are worth - all to benefit the Exeter Library.
Our yearly Basket Raffle will also be part of the Book Faire, though the baskets will be on display inside the Library beginning May 10. Tickets are $1.00 each or five or $6.00. Last-chance tickets can be purchased at the Book Faire. Winners will be announced in early June.
We will also have baked goods, popcorn, car and drone demos by Exeter Hobbies, authors from the Exeter Authors' Guild, and hopefully music by a few members of the Exeter Union High School Band, but that is not a sure bet yet.

CHILDREN'S BOOK DRIVE
Update - Our first book was moderately successful! We did receive a few boxes of children's books, which was our goal, so that has helped a lot in our effort to keep books on the shelves for kids who visit the library. We also received several boxes of magazines and a good variety of hardcovers and paperbacks. Thanks to everyone who contributed!
Exeter Friends is hosting their first book drive! We'll be focusing on children's books this first time around. Those books fly off the shelves with all the kids who visit our library.
